She always made sure everyone was cared for before caring for her own needs and often went out of her way to help others. Jean is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Cook; her granddaughters, Rachel Simmons and Christina McAnally; and her beloved cat, Precious. She was preceded in death by her parents, Audie and Eddie Stricklin; her sister, Reba Inez Wiginton; and her 3 infant brothers. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Rowland Mills Cemetery, officiated by Bro. James Rich. Interment will be in Rowland Mills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jean’s honor to your local animal humane society or shelter.
