Jayne Bodfish Perkins, age 75, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Perkins; parents, Robert V. and Jeanne Stephenson Bodfish; and grandparents, Jay G. and Margaret Isbell Stephenson.
She is survived by her children, Peggy Sutton Hackett (Barry), Scott Sutton (Lisa); grandchildren, Kaylie Hackett and Matthew Hackett (Taylor Smith); brother, John Bodfish; nephews, Chris Bodfish, Bob Lewis, John Bodfish; and several dear friends.
Jayne was a dedicated and loving Mom, Mimi, Bug and friend. She was a witty, strong willed and determined woman who had a generous heart and kind soul. She was the President and CEO of Easter Seals of Tennessee for many years, volunteered at the Center of the Arts in Murfreesboro, and had a love for animals-especially dogs. She was also a member of the Church of the Holy Cross in Murfreesboro.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, March 26th, 2022 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel from 3:00-5:00 PM. Memorial service will begin at 5:00 PM with Del Ray Zimmerman, Tony Cimino and Kaylie Hackett leading her celebration of life. In addition, an Episcopalian memorial service in her honor will take place on Saturday, March 26th at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Cross in Murfreesboro.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Easter Seals of TN or Rovers Retreat.
