In Corinth, MS on March 22, 1964, a gentle soul named Javonna Renee’ Shelton entered the world. She was the beloved daughter of Peach Shelton and the late Geroge L. Luster.
Javonna’s essence emanated strength and resilience throughout her remarkable journey. For over three decades, she dedicated herself to caring for others at the nursing home in Selmer, TN. Her unwavering work ethic paired with her independent spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Known for her outspoken nature and kind heart, Javonna’s inner and outer beauty shone brightly. Affectionately dubbed “Nay Nay” by those closest to her, she exuded elegance and took pride in her appearance, always clad in sophistication with a touch of sass.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Javonna found solace in the simple pleasures of life: cooking up amazing dishes in the kitchen, indulging in Sci-Fi and horror films, and cherishing movie nights at home. However, above all else, her greatest source of joy was found in being a devoted mother to her cherished daughter.
On June 20, 2024, in Selmer, Tennessee, at the age of 60 years and 2 months, Javonna passed away peacefully at her home. She is survived by her adoring daughter, Khadija Hughes of Selmer, TN; her mother, Peach Shelton of Jackson, TN; as well as a host of siblings, close family members, and dear friends.
May her vibrant spirit continue to illuminate our hearts and memories forevermore.
