Jasper Dee Wilbanks was born August 2, 1942 in McNairy County, TN, the son of the late Homer Carlos and Ruby B. Hysmith Wilbanks. He was a carpenter most of his life. He was united in marriage to Reitha Belle Battles on March 17, 1962. Mrs. Wilbanks preceded him in death on January 13, 1972. He loved fishing, taking early morning strolls, dancing and enjoying life. Mr. Wilbanks departed this life on August 3, 2017 in Michie, Tennessee at the age of 75 Years, 1 Day.
He is survived by his children: James Dee Wilbanks and wife Brandi, Valinda Hamilton, Donna McCarter and husband John, Tommy Wilbanks and wife Carla all of Michie, TN; a sister, Gerldine Williams and husband Teddy of Milledgeville, TN; two brothers, Willie Joe Wilbanks of Counce, TN, Johnny Wilbanks of Michie, TN; twelve grandchildren, James A. Wilbanks, Crystal Wilbanks, Summer Wilbanks, Scotty Hamilton, Monica Wilbanks, Tony Wilbanks, Alisha Wilbanks, Chastity Goode and husband Cameron, Nicole Crouse and husband Jonathan, Leia Massey, Mayia Wilbanks, Reitha Wilbanks;13 Great Grandchildren; and a special friend, Mary Lambert.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Wilbanks was preceded in death by a sister, Mammie Louise James; four brothers: James I Wilbanks, Larry Dallas Wilbanks, Wilford Wayne Wilbanks and Carlos Edward Wilbanks.
