J.C. ParkerJasper Cleburn “J. C.” Parker Jr., 72, went to be with the Lord Friday, November 9, 2018 at Baldwyn Nursing Home. J. C. was born May 4, 1946, to Mirtie Irene Steele Parker and Jasper Cleburn Parker Sr. On June 22, 1965, he married the former, Peggy Maxine Waddle. He was a loving, caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved hunting, fishing and anything outdoors, but most of all he loved his family.

Visitation will be 4 until 8 p.m. Monday, November 12, 2018, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Priceville Cemetery with Bro. Jimmy Henry officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

He leaves behind one daughter, Amanda “Amy” M. Muir (Joseph G. “Jerry”); one son, Jason A. Parker (Tiffany J.), three grandchildren, Joseph G. Muir, Kathleen “Katie” E. Muir, Andrew J. “A.J.” Parker; one great-granddaughter, Dahlia E.; one sister, Betty Byrd and a large extended family who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years in 2015, Peggy Parker; parents, Jasper “Cleburn” Sr. and Mirtie Parker and one brother, William “Bill” Parker.

Pallbearers will be Gary Byrd, Chris Byrd, Tracy Byrd, Rob Post, Scott Montague and Mike Hare.
