Funeral service for Jason Eric Chitwood, age 43, of Decatur, will be Friday, May 19, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at Westmeade Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Scotty Hogan officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 18, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Chitwood, who died Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at his residence, was born November 27, 1973, in Louisville, KY, to Rev. James Chitwood and Annie Margaret Boyles Chitwood. He owned and operated Associated Appraisal Services, was a member of Westmeade Baptist Church for 35 years, and was a loving husband, daddy, son, and friend.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Glenn Chitwood of Decatur; one daughter, Macie Chitwood of Decatur; parents, James and Annie Margaret Chitwood of Decatur; father- and mother-in-law, Rex and Sherry Glenn of Danville; and one uncle, Bob Smith (Sandy) of Decatur.
Pallbearers will be deacons of Westmeade Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to the Macie Chitwood Memorial Fund at Renasant Bank of Decatur.
