Jason Ashley Corbin Jason Ashley Corbin, 43, of Decatur, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2021. Born on November 14, 1977, in Emporia, Kansas, Jason was an intelligent and fun loving individual with a great sense of humor. He was known for his caring and devoted nature, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Jason was a beloved father, son, brother, and uncle.

In his professional life, Jason excelled as an accomplished fine dining chef, working at Simp McGhee’s, Cafe 113, and the Decatur Country Club. During his time at Longhorn Steakhouse, Jason was chosen to compete in Atlanta where he won first place in the regional cook off. With his culinary skills, he delighted countless patrons in the North Alabama area.

Outside of his career, Jason had a wide range of interests and hobbies. He was an avid reader and history buff, always eager to expand his knowledge. Jason also had a talent for drawing, creative writing, and enjoyed playing and watching basketball. However, his greatest passion was undoubtedly cooking. He worked tirelessly, sharing his culinary creations with others, and always strived to expand his cooking skills and knowledge.

Jason is survived by his only child, Jacyn Ashley Corbin, his sisters, Christine Ann (Childers) Corbin and Karen Elaine Corbin, as well as his brothers, Troy Eugene Corbin Jr. and Brandon Sean Corbin. He was preceded in death by his father, Troy Eugene Corbin Sr., his mother, Julia Florence Corbin, his grandparents Mary Ann Lloyd, Elmer Ray Lloyd, Florence Anna Corbin, and Harry Walter Corbin, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The funeral arrangements are being handled by Shelton Funeral Home in Decatur, Alabama. The family will gather to honor and remember Jason, celebrating the impact he had on their lives.

In this time of loss, may we find solace in the memories we shared with Jason Ashley Corbin. His legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Jason, you are loved and missed deeply by your family.
