Janna Sue McWhorter, who turned 84 on Mother’s Day, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Marshall Medical Center North. She was born May 12, 1940, in Arab the daughter of Earley McWhorter and Louiese Watwood McWhorter. Sue was a graduate of Arab High School, Class of 1959 and spent her career as a talented hair stylist with a loyal following of clients. She was a loving and beloved presence for her family and friends.
She is survived by her son: Mike Watson; grandson: Steve Watson; daughter-in-law: Tammy Watson; former husband: Bruce Watson; brother: Bruce (Kathy) McWhorter; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Earley and Louiese McWhorter; brother: Elmo McWhorter; daughter-in-law: Debbie Watson.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Gober Funeral Chapel. The burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gober Funeral Chapel.
