Mrs. Carter was a native of Wayne County, TN, a homemaker, and of the Baptist faith. She was kind, caring, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include: Husband of 57 years- Jackie Carter of Iron City, TN; Mother- Mae Risner of Saint Joseph, TN; 2 Sons- Brent Carter & wife Cindy of Iron City, TN; Jason Carter of Iron City, TN; 1 Daughter- Penny Brown & husband Gary of Iron City, TN; 1 Granddaughter- Rachel Ferguson; 2 Grandsons- Kyle Carter & Jackson Brown; 1 Great Granddaughter- Ava Ferguson; 1 Sister- Shirley Carter of Loretto, TN; 4 Brothers- Kenneth Gallaher of Slidell, LA; Roger Risner of Saint Joseph, TN; Randy Risner of San Antonio, TX; Ricky Risner of Birmingham, AL; Several Nieces & Nephews; Preceded in death by: 4 precious Grandsons- Jarrod, Jordan, Orry, & Briley Carter; her Father- Elburn Gallaher; her very special Uncle- Walker Gallaher; The funeral service will be officiated by Tim Hanback. Burial to follow in Odems Chapel Cemetery.
