Mrs. Janie Lloyd, age 73, passed away early Tuesday at her home in Lexington. She was born June 26, 1945 in Obion, Tennessee to the late Albert and Lessie Bobo. She worked at MIT for NASA designing helmets and was owner of Yesterday’s Books. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Glenn Bobo, Johnny Daniels, and Jim Bobo and one sister, Bobbie A. Robinson. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Mr. Joe Lloyd; two sons, Mark Lloyd (Elizabeth) and Jospeh Lloyd II (Jennifer); her daughter, Rebecca Gately (James); one sister, Glenda McMahan (Wade); and nine grandchildren, Brianna, Sarah, Ben, Sam, Joey, Gianna, Tommy, Parker, and Griffin. The family has chosen cremation. Memorial service arrangements will be posted as soon as they become available.
