Janie Lee Walls, age 91, of Arab, AL passed away Wednesday, February 21st 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family. Janie was born February 19th, 1933, in Boaz, AL. She was the daughter of Foy William Davis and Winnie Virginia Moore. She married J.C. Walls on December 23rd, 1949.
Janie spent her life as a homemaker. She loved to read and cook, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She had the gift of hospitality, and loved serving others.
Janie was a devout Christian. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and was member of Old Brashiers Chapel Church. She loved her church family.
Family members she leaves behind are three daughters, Becky (Kenny) Hawkins, Sandra (Don) Hill, Anita (Ted) Young; five granddaughters, Amanda (Keith) Pittman, Candace (Brad) Cleland, Kellie (Daniel) Paschal, Jordan (Curtis) Potter, Meigan (Adam) Hendrix; nine great- grandchildren and four bonus great- grandchildren and a bonus great-great grandson.Two brothers, Eugene and Billy Davis; brother-in-law Loy Walls; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Janie is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, J.C. Walls, brothers James, Clyde, Paul and Donald Davis, two sisters Dot Walls and Betty Owens.
Services will be at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M. Officiating the service will be her Pastor, Reverend Josh Garmany. Graveside service will be at Arab Memorial Cemetery officiated by Reverend Don Hill. Pallbearers will be Keith Pittman, Brody Pittman, Carter Cleland, Daniel Paschal, Curtis Potter, and Adam Hendrix.
