Janie Grace Williams, age 93, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at her daughter’s residence.
She was born May 28, 1930, in Pulaski, Tennessee, to the late Andrew and Lorene Wheeler Owen. She was employed by General Shoe and Faber Castell as a machine operator until her retirement. She was a member of Westvue Church of Christ.
Janie and her husband, Dewmont, traveled the country participating in bowling tournaments for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewmont Houston Williams; son, James Anthony “Jimmy” Williams; brothers, Frank Marion Owen, Joe Edward Owen, and Allen W. Owen; sister Julia Wade.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Bobby) Truelove of Cornersville; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee, on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 4:00 pm from the Chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Beechwood Cemetery.
The family expresses their appreciation for the care and compassion shown by Missy, Andrew, and Jennifer with Compassus Hospice and to Margo, their caregiver, who was a God send.
