Janice Wood Davis passed away Tuesday, November 23, in Jackson. Mrs. Wood, age 72, the widow of Ronnie Davis, was born December 7, 1948, in Henderson County, to the late Obie Wood and Etta Hayes Wood. She was a homemaker who loved her family and cooking for them, enjoyed drawing and painting, being on the water, and loved visiting the mountains.
Mrs. Wood is survived by her two daughters, Amy Davis and Kathy Davis; two grandchildren, Brittany Jones (Timothy) and Ashley Darnall; four great grandchildren: Nolan Jones, McKenzie Jones, Parker Jones, and Layla Darnall; a sister, Linda Wood; niece, Teresa Doner (Chad); and great-niece Emmie.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 27, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Lexington Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 26, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
