Janice Taylor Pressnell – Obituary

Janice Taylor Pressnell, 62, died Sunday, May 6, 2018 at her residence on Carpenter Bridge Road.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Ricky Clay officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born February 22, 1956 in Christian County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Robert Vernon Taylor and the late Betty Jo Waggoner Taylor. She was married to Jon H. Pressnell, Sr., who preceded her in death October 15, 2013. Mrs. Pressnell enjoyed living the country life, taking care of her animals, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing golf. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her daughter, Renee (Tony) Click of Columbia; sons, Jonathan D. (Grecian) Bone and Jeremy Heath (Natalie) Bone, both of Santa Fe; brothers, Robert (Margaret) Taylor of Brentwood and James Taylor of Gallatin; and grandchildren, Blaine H. Click of Columbia, McKenzie L. Pressnell of Culleoka, Conner W. Click of Columbia, Hannah M. Bone of Cornersville, Allie D. Click of Columbia, Shelby L. Bone of Santa Fe, J. W. Bone of Santa Fe, Emery Y. Click of Columbia.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jon H. Pressnell, Jr and brother, James Ronald Taylor.

Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Bone, Heath Bone, Blaine Click, Conner Click, Mike Penrod, Terry Dial, Ty Cobb, and Pete Wright.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Hospice Compassus and her sitters, Rita Brunson, Melanie Gilliam, Tatum Staggs, Theresa Sullivan, Hanna Hazlett, Bonnie England, Betty Holder, Candice Hickman, and Carolyn Foster.
