Janice Oleida Maze Knight, 66 of Arab died Saturday January 4, 2025 in Huntsville Hospital after a lengthy struggle with cancer. Mrs. Knight was born December 13, 1958 in Arab, Alabama. The daughter of D. C. Maze and Ozella Elizabeth Roan Maze. Janice lived her life the best she knew and left this earth wishing that her grandchildren and great grandchildren would find safety in this mixed-up world.
Janice is survived by her loving grandchildren: Drake Knight, Savannah Knight and Ella Grace Knight whom she had the joy of raising as her children; she is also survived by two great grandchildren: Isabella and Oliver Nash; two brothers: Ralph Maze and Darrell Maze, several other relatives and many dear friends and neighbors; she was preceded in death by her son: Steven Knight, her parents: D. C. and Ozella Maze and a brother: Neal Maze.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday January 8, 2025 at Gober Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Brashier’s Chapel Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Gober Funeral Chapel.
