Janice Mayhall Horn, 79, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Golden, MS and was a homemaker. She was a member of Golden Central Baptist Church for over sixty years, head of WMU and social director.
Services will be Saturday, August 31, 12 p.m. at Golden Central Baptist Church, Golden, MS with Bro. Ralph Culp and Bro. Jerry Ginn officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, August 31, 11-12 p.m. at Golden Central Baptist Church. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Golden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by three children, Jeffrey Horn (Mitzi), Jonathan Horn and Jennifer Horn; grandchildren, Jessica Rester (Samuel), Shana Vaughn (Sam) and Dillon Horn and great-grandchildren, Sarah Rester, Gideon Rester and Rebekah Vaughn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Horn; her parents, William “Solon” Mayhall and Fleda Wood Mayhall and siblings, Z.L. Mayhall, Shakeeta Lahnala and Betty Storment.
Pallbearers will be Dillon Horn, Phillip Horn, Joel Horn, Davy Ginn, Tim Storment, Hunter Credille, Kane Harris and Jeff Mahan. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Golden Central Baptist Church, Bro. Jarod Grimes, Tony Graham and Mike Holcomb.
