Janice Matthews Glaze, 73 of Dora, passed away Monday Dec. 11, 2023 at her residence. Janice was a graduate of Minor High School, class of 1969; She was a member of Church H2O (formerly Forestdale Freewill Baptist Church). Many people will remember as Owner of the Hickory House restaurant in Forestdale.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Delton and Juanita Matthews; her son, Bradley Glaze and her brother, Michael Matthews.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Charles W. Glaze; her son, Alan Glaze and wife Katie; granddaughter, Emilee Glaze; brother, Wesley Matthews and wife Lou; nieces and nephew, Natalie Hawkins, Kalan Matthews and Tyler Matthews; great nieces, Madison and Raegan; her aunt, Jeral Dean Drummond; several other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday Dec. 13, 23 at 11:00 am in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Pastor Mike Cox and Pastor Drake Dorsett will officiate. Burial will follow in McCormack Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 9:30-11:00 am.
