Janice Corbin Janice Lee Smith Corbin, 67 of Baileyton passed away Monday morning, February 13, 2023, at home surrounded by family. Janice was born January 10, 1956, in Cullman the daughter of Guy Edward Smith and Laura Lee Stinson Smith. She was a graduate of Fairview High School Class of 1974 and married James Larry “Bo” Corbin on March 7, 1980. Her greatest accomplishment was raising two daughters to adulthood (there were a few close calls, but she managed not to take us out of this world). She was a loving and devoted mother and wife, who always put her family first. She worked outside the home too. Her first job was as a waitress at the Trail’s End Cafe in Baileyton, AL. She worked at Blue Bell in Arab, AL sewing zippers on pants. On Saturday nights in the summer, she could be found at Baileyton “Good Time” Drag Strip, where she worked in the concession stand at the job where she laughed the most. She worked the longest for Walker Building Supply in Arab, AL in the receiving department, stocking, and doing other duties as assigned.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years: Bo Corbin and their daughters: LaShay Corbin (Brent Smith) and Erin Corbin; sister: Joyce Miller, her husband Roger and a brother: Jackie Smith; niece: Stephanie Eddleman, her husband Kenny and a nephew: Jessie Smith; Sisters-in-law: Nellie Putnam and Sheila Hendrix; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Brother Greg Stone officiating. Burial will be in the Baileyton Cemetery with Gober Funeral Chapel directing. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gober Funeral Chapel.

Pallbearers: Jessie Smith, Dale Stinson, Wayne Stinson, Jordin Putnam, Larry Hankins and Brent Smith.
