Janice Britton Cantrell Janice Britton Cantrell, 61, of Elkmont, Alabama passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.

Ms. Cantrell lived in Elkmont area for almost 40 years where she was a member of Community Baptist Church. She was an advocate for Autism Awareness as well as lifelong supporter of the Ardmore ballpark. In her free time, Janice enjoyed taking trips to Monte Sano State Park and the beach as well as spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents on her father’s side, L.M. and Edith Cobb, her grandparents on her mother’s side, John and Katie Britton, as well as her late ex-husband, Rod Cantrell.

She is survived by three sons; Billy (Jessica) Cantrell, Eddie Cantrell, and Lukas Cantrell, one daughter, Emily (Bo) Sylvester, one sister, Carol Britton, as well as ten grandchildren; Rylee, Ryker, Ayden, Liam, Langley, Dixie, Dega, Atticus, Camila, and Trey.

There will be a Visitation held for Ms. Cantrell at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Chapel Service is scheduled for the following day, Friday, September 20, 2024, again at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, with service time beginning at 11:00 AM. Bro. Steve Hargrove will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.
