Janice Ann McDonald Skinner, 72, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Southern Magnolia, Golden, MS. She was born in Belmont, MS to William “Bill” and Lennette McDonald, Sr. and had worked in garment manufacturing. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Red Bay, AL.
Services will be Friday, December 13, 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Roger Wood officiating. Visitation will be Friday, December 13, 10-11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL. Burial will be in Red Bay City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Holloway (Anthony) Pontotoc, MS and Kim Wilson, Rogersville, AL; grandsons, Brett Young, Dennis, MS and Sloan Wilson (Kahlea) Decatur, AL; great-granddaughter, Josie Blake Wilson, Decatur, AL; a sister, Leesha Shotts (Ken) Ocala, FL and two brothers, William “Little Bill” McDonald, Jr., Tishomingo, MS and Shane McDonald (Andrea) Belmont, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norris Fran Skinner; her parents and a granddaughter, Laken Noelle Young.
Pallbearers will be Brett Young, Sloan Wilson, Erik McDonald, Levi McDonald, Chase Davis and Nickolas Davis.
