Janice Adele Nicholson Janice Adele Nicholson, surrounded by family and a wonderful hospice nurse, Natalie, passed away on September 7, 2024, after a struggle with Alzheimer’s.  She is now in the arms of her savior Jesus.  Jan was born on October 28, 1943 in Belleville, Illinois.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albin and Valeria Zipfel; brothers, Cleuts Zipfel and Stephen Zipfel; and sister Mildred Hood.

Those to carry on her memory are her husband of over 63 years, Jerry Nicholoson; daughter, Carmen (Jeff) McPherson; grandsons, Ryan (Candace) Lott and Alex (Chelsea)Lott; granddaughter, Jacy (Trevor) Sauls; five great-grandchildren: Anna Laura, Corabeth, Jacob, Adley, and Wesley; many nieces, nephews, and very special friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 10th from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home.  Chapel service will take place Wednesday, September 11th at 1:00 PM.  Burial will be on a later date at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.
