Janette Lynn Daniels, 74, of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024, at her son’s house, through the care of her son and Gentiva Hospice. Ms. Daniels was born on May 24th, 1950, in Champaign, Illinois, to Arthur and Lois Irene (Brooks) McGuire.
Ms. Daniels is survived by her sons Thomas Alan Daniels (Kimberly Dawn) and Robert Wesley Daniels (Misty); and grandchildren Brenna Paige Daniels, Thomas Alan Daniels, Jr., Harley James Daniels, and Timmy Serigo McAlister; and mother Noria McAlister.
She is preceded in death by her son Timothy Sean McAlister; sister Claudette Bradford; father Arthur Claude McGuire; mother Lois Irene McGuire; and late husband Ricky Garland Daniels.
Ms. Daniels loved to help people. She also loved watching golf and football. She spent over thirty years serving the Limestone County School System overseeing the textbooks and video archives. She loved to do her part to help see that the teacher and faculty had the essential tools they needed to better educate the children of Limestone County.
