Janet Y. (Cole) Adams, age 74 of Pell City, passed away on September 3, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born on June 17, 1949, in Birmingham, AL to Luavera Cole and James Homer Cole, who preceded her in death along with all of her siblings: Edward Cole, William Cole, Buddy Cole, Bobbie Cole, Peggie Sullivan and Mary Nail.
Janet is survived by her husband of over 55 years, James “Jim” Adams; two sons, James Adams Jr. (Rachael) and Brian C. Adams (Misty); 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Janet worked as the editor and brains behind St. Clair County’s only live TV station (Channel 12) originated in Pell city in its history. She was a world traveler, having been on 30 cruises and 1 river cruise, visiting Germany, the Caribbean (both southern and western), Hawaii and Alaska. Janet was honored in the Who’s Who 4 times.
She was a loving wife, caring mother, attentive grandmother and motivated great grandmother. A great family reunion in Heaven with the whole Cole family, reunited as one table with Jesus head of the table. Glory be to God.
