Janet Thornberry Evett, age 67 of the Adamsburg community, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at her residence. She was born on April 7, 1957 to the late L.B. & Wanda Wills Thornberry in Dekalb County. She was retired from the Children’s Place.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Adamsburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service.
She is survived by her daughters, Mandy Morton and Carla Thacker; brother & sister-in-law, Lester Ray (Lisa) Thornberry; sister & brother-in-law, Sonya & Kevin Martin; grandchildren, Luke Morton, Max Morton, Emma Evett, and Ethan Evett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Evett; son, David Evett; parents; and brother, Leonard Thornberry.
