Janet Rickard Holt age 64 of Florence, passed away suddenly on May 18, 2024. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 12 Noon until 2:00 P.M. Services will follow in the chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Rev Jaina Glaze officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Church of Christ Cemetery in Central.
Pallbearers are Steve Melton, Randall Melton, Reggie Melton, Russell Melton, Casey Barnes, Barry Gooch, Austin Tippett and Davey Smitherman.
She was preceded by her son Nickey Holt Jr. Father Melvin Rickard and Mother Jean Rickard Phillips. One brother Byron “Jake” Rickard.
Janet is survived by her husband of 32 years, Keith Holt and son Noah Holt. Her stepfather Elvis Phillips. Two brothers: Steve and Barry Rickard. Two sisters: Deb Tippett and Donna Smitherman. Sister-in-law Carol Melton (Roger). Nephews: Austin Tippett, Davey Smitherman, Steve Melton, Randall Melton, Reggie Melton and Russell Melton. Special nieces: Ashley Barnes and Jennifer Dean. As well as many other nephews, nieces, family and friends.
Janet was a devoted wife and Mother. Her life was taking long car rides with Noah, Keith and spending quality time with her family, who she loved to no end. She was employed at Dillard’s for twenty-four years and enjoyed her job as Head of Security.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and doctors in ICU for the care and support given during this time.
