Janet Lee Henon, aged 72, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2024, at MD Anderson Medical Center, in Houston, Texas, following a courageous battle with cancer. Her husband, Paul, and daughters, Jennifer and Jada, were by her side.
She was born on August 3, 1952, in Gallatin, Tennessee, to Robert and Geneva Gammon. She was a resident of Springfield and a 1970 graduate of East Robertson High School. Janet married Paul in 2000, in Springfield, Tennessee. She worked honorably at Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation for 35 years until retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; an older brother, Robert ‘Bobby’ Gammon and his wife, Jan; preceded in death by another brother, James ‘Jimmy’ Gammon, and survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Grant) Bell and Jada (Chase) Cervantes; and three grandchildren, Jackson, Chandler, and Raegan Bell; and Sutton and Asher Cervantes.
Family and friends are invited to the Springfield First United Methodist Church, 511 S. Oak Street, from 11:00-2:00 on September 21, 2024, to reminisce and honor the life of Janet. The service will follow at 2:00.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to the Halo House Foundation (Houston, Texas), an oasis for families facing the adversity of cancer.
