Janet Dickerson, 55, of Florence, Ala., passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013. Her funeral service will be Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Tommy Heaps, Sonny Hargett and William Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Canaan Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6–9 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was a native of Lauderdale County, Ala., and was a member of Canaan Methodist Church, was a graduate of Faulkner College and was a sales rep with HON Company for 23 years.
Survivors include husband of 37 years, Ricky Dickerson; parents, Willie and Helen Bird; daughter, Ashley Gibson and husband Jay; three grandchildren Braxton Wright, Chandler Gibson and Kynidi Gibson.
Pallbearers include Mike Hamm, Wayne Landers, Ricky Haggard, Tim Gilbert, Jimmy Morris and Gerald Smith. Honorary bearers will be Bensil Greenhill, Michael Crider, Mike Palmer, Tom Haddock, Carl Rhodes, David Hale, Kyle Scott, Tyler Kelly, Toby Warren, Brian Llewellyn and Tony Hubbard.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Tennessee Valley Hospice, doctors and medical staff in Birmingham and to all friends.
