Jane S. Walker, age 67 of Huntland, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems in Winchester. She was born on September 2, 1957, in Belleville, Illinois, to Jimmie Mac and Barbara (Gardner) Sanders. A dedicated educator currently teaching 2nd grade, Jane had previously taught 3rd and 4th grades during her forty-six-year tenure at Huntland School. She had also been the high school cheer coach for five years. Her caring and compassionate nature allowed her to be a nurturing encourager to her students. When she wasn’t in school, it gave her great joy to spend time with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren. Jane was a devoted member of Maxwell Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving husband of forty-nine years, Sid Walker; parents, Jimmie and Barbara Sanders; children, Michelle (Casey) Pogue, and Jason (Brandy) Walker; grandchildren, Sydney Pogue, Morgan Pogue, Bryson Walker, and Carson Walker; siblings, Barry (Donna) Sanders, Lori (Michael) Frame, and Lea (Brad) Boles; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 29, 2025, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt.
