Funeral service for Jane Powell Garner, 82, will be Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Salem United Methodist Church with Bro. Charlie Brown and Bro. Marty Hand officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Garner died on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Shepard’s Cove Hospice . She was born August 31, 1940, in Morgan County, to Thomas Arthur Powell and Margaret Nesmith Powell.
She was a lifelong member of Salem United Methodist Church where she played the piano, organ, was a worship leader and was very active in UMW. She wrote various Christmas plays and advent programs. She loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her daughter and son-in-law with all her heart .
Preceding her in death were her husband: Bobby Garner, her parents and a brother: Jimmy Powell.
