A funeral service for Jane Pope Knight, 72, of Hartselle, will be Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 2:00PM at Friendship Baptist Church, south of Danville, with Rev. Steve Ledbetter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 1:00PM ~ 2:00PM at the church. Burial will be at Friendship Baptist Church cemetery. Jane was born on February 12, 1952 to William and Irene Pope. She died on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at UAB.
God, family and her students were the most important to Jane. She always had a real zest for life, both in her classroom and with family and friends. She loved God, family, friends, her students, and her pets – all in that order. Mrs. Knight was generous to people in need and helped care for her mother for many years. She will be missed by all. Jane was preceded in death by her parents.

Brother: Robert Pope
Three sisters: Dana Lamb (Mike), June Evans (Fred) and Judy Steel (Jackie).
Nieces and Nephews: Patrick Lamb (Jane), Angela Baker (Tim), Jonathan Evans, Ben Lamb (April), Andrew Lamb (Julie), Dan Evans (Kati), Will Steel (Katie), Bob Evans (Heather), Megan Sapp (Jeremy), Jennifer Dill (David) and several beloved grand nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Will Steel, Bob Evans, Dan Evans, Ben Lamb, Patrick Lamb, Andy Lamb and Jonathan Evans.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jackson Sapp, Hunter Baker, Lucas Lamb, Spenser Lamb and Flint Smith.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Enon Baptist Church or the humane society.
