Jan Satterfield, age 74, of Decatur, Alabama passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024. Visitation will be on March 11, 2024, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. Celebration of Life service will begin at 1:00pm with Jeff May and Justin Roberson officiating. Jan will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery.
Jan is survived by her husband of 56 years, Farris Satterfield Jr.; daughter, Myra (David) Hester; son, Jay Satterfield; grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas and Andrew Hester, and Jacob and Hannah Satterfield; great grandchildren, Emilee, Easton, Audrey and Harper Hester and sister Joy (Stephen) Guthery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Dean Vest.
Jan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Danville Road Church of Christ. Jan also drove a bus for Decatur City Schools for 18 years.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Hester, Nicholas Hester, Andrew Hester, Mike Morrow, Jeremy Hughey and Jake Cowart.
