Jamie Pauline Aycock Taylor – Obituary

Jamie Pauline Aycock Taylor, 81, of Corinth, Mississippi died Friday, August 14, 2015. She was born on January 16, 1934 in Derma, Calhoun County, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Spencer Sutton Aycock and Pauline Boland.

Mrs. Taylor graduated from Grenada High School in 1952 and she attended Delta State College (University) where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Mrs. Taylor later attended the University of Mississippi where she received a Master of Arts degree in Home Economics.

Mrs. Taylor taught home economics in the Arkansas schools and taught elementary education in the Shelby County, TN school system in the 1960s and worked as a loving homemaker, mother and grandmother the remaining years of her life.

She was the widow of John William Taylor, of Adamsville, who died January 16, 2013 after 49 years of marriage.

She is survived by her sons, John Keith Taylor of Chattanooga and William Todd Taylor (Rachele) of Corinth, MS; three grandchildren, Samuel Taylor, Julia Taylor and Olivia Taylor, and one step-grandson, Ashton Lance.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded by her sister, Rosa Clyde Aycock Witt, and her brothers, Raymond Spencer Aycock and Donald Boland Aycock.

Services will be held on August 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Adamsville, TN with Dr. John Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Memorial Garden in Adamsville.
