Jamie Annette Potter Stewart, beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on July 3, 2024, at the age of 64 in Huntsville, AL.
Jamie was preceded in death by her father, James Henry Potter; her mother, Bettie Ray Potter; and brother, James Michael Potter. She is survived by her loving husband, of 41 years, Larry Keith Stewart. Her two sons, Ethan Harry Stewart (Amanda Katherine Harrell) and Colt Lee Stewart (Kerri Whittaker Stewart). She also leaves behind her brothers, Kendall Stephen Potter (Keith Alton Sargent) and William Devin Potter, who will miss her dearly.
Born on August 4, 1959, Jamie was known for her warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family. Jamie’s greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, cuddling her four-legged best friend, Harley, and taking trips to the beach.
Jamie was a dedicated employee at Stewart Electric for 30 years. She was a natural problem-solver and always went above and beyond to help others. She was a member of Mayfair Church of Christ. Jamie also spent many years volunteering and supporting Madison Academy, where both her sons, Ethan and Colt graduated. Her hard work and dedication will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held at Laughlin Service Funeral Home on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held to celebrate Jamie’s life at Laughlin Service Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.
Jamie will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her kind spirit and loving nature will live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace.
