James William “Jim” Vickery Jr., of Florence, passed away March 31, 2014, at Helen Keller Hospital. He was formerly employed with the Coca Cola Company as a service technician and an elder of Creekside Church.
Visitation will be today from 5-6 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Sammy Franks officiating.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James W. Vickery Sr. and Hazel Hughes Vickery.
He is survived by his wife, Sherrie Davis Vickery; children, Kimberly and Cliff Vickery; brothers, Stacey and Stanley Vickery; sisters, Wanda South, Charlotte Gladden, Becky McAlpine, and Susan Vickery; and great-uncle, Robert “Buddy” Hughes.
