James William Jackson  James William Jackson passed away on August 22, 2024 in Stevenson, Alabama. Born in Rogersville, James spent his life in North Alabama. He welcomed his son Bill in1966 and lived the last 36 years in Stevenson with his wife Sheila. Known to those who loved him as James, Uncle James, Uncle Vern, or Daddy he appreciated a nickname and anyone who ever met James received a nickname from him whether they knew it or not. A lifelong carpenter and insulator, James used his skills to build his own business and constructed toys, furniture, and homes for his family and friends. He also enjoyed sharing stories, spoiling nieces and nephews, and cooking his famous ribs for everyone in the community.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Countess Jackson & Inez Times; and brother, Buck Jackson
He is survived by his wife, Sheila; son, Bill; grandson, Craig; brother, Robert (Judy); sister, Annette; and multiple great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
