James William Brown, 46, of Decatur passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at his residence. There will be a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
Willie was born in Decatur, Alabama on July 19, 1978 to William Alton and Nancy Morgan Brown. He later became an HVAC Technician by trade.
Willie was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide football fan. Roll Tide! He enjoyed grilling and was respectfully known by his family as THE BEST Grill Master.
Willie was a loving father and grandfather. He loved his family dearly. His kindness and love will endure in the hearts of all who truly knew him.
Willie was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Morgan Thomason; grandparents, James L. and Dorothy Staggs Morgan; and a cousin, Lindsey Rose Edney.
Willie is survived by his wife, Melissa Cherie Pentecost Brown; daughter, Baylee Brown (Chris Baker); son, Tyler Brown (Chelsea); daughter, Victoria Pentecost; grandchildren, Alayah Baker and Madeline Brown; sister, Payton Peavey (Ronnie); a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other family.
Shelton Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
