James Willard Dorroh, age 81, passed away Sept. 8, 2016. Visitation was Friday, Sept. 9, from 6-8 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral will be today at 10 a.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church of Florence with Brother Mike Crews and Brother Phillip Skipworth officiating. The body will lie in state one hour before the service. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Dorroh was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Florence and was a retired metallurgical engineer with Reynolds Metals Company.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Amanda Irene Dorroh; sons, Jamie (Tina) Dorroh, Robert (Debbie) Dorroh, and Scott (Anessa) Dorroh; grandchildren, Justin (Chelsea) Dorroh, Amberly (Patrick) Echols, Maleah Dorroh, and Makayla Dorroh; and great-grandchild, Matthews Echols.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Alabama First Free Will Baptist Children’s Home, P.O. Box 8, 86 Academy Dr., Eldridge, AL 35554.
