James Wesley Stanfill Profile PhotoJames Wesley Stanfill, a beloved father, passed away on December 15, 2023, at West Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt, TN.

He was born on February 18, 1943, in St. Louis, MO, the son of the late Guy and Rachel Blackwell Stanfill.  James lived a fulfilling life surrounded by family and friends who cherished him dearly.

After graduating from South Side High School, James proudly served in the United States Air Force, demonstrating his deep love for his country. After his service to his county, he embarked on a career at Colonial Bakery.  After his retirement from Colonial, he had the opportunity to serve the community as a bus driver for the Jackson Madison County School System.

Throughout his working years, James made a positive impact on countless individuals with his kind heart and unwavering commitment to his duties.  He was an animal lover who enjoyed fishing. He was also a former member of the Bemis Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his loving children, Danny Patterson and wife Elizabeth, Dawn Thomason and husband Brad, Michelle Hamilton, and Tina Taylor.

SERVICES: James’s life will be celebrated at a Graveside Service at 10:00 a.m. on December 19, 2023, at Highland Memorial Gardens, with Rev. James Keeton officiating. Family and friends will gather to honor James’s memory and pay their final respects to this remarkable individual.

The family is requesting that memorial contributions be directed to the West Tennessee Veterans Home of Humboldt, 2865 E. Main Street, Humboldt, TN 38343.

May James Wesley Stanfill forever be cherished and remembered for his invaluable contributions to the lives he touched.
