James Walbert Keel, age 77, passed away July 18, 2017. Visitation will be today from 2-3 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother David Rushlow officiating. Burial will be at Macedonia Church of Christ.
Mr. Keel was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed for 15 years at Genesco Knitting Mill in Florence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. and Maggie Sharp Keel, and brother, Wayne “Red” Keel.
Survivors include his sisters, Joyce May, Lois Walker, and Kay Bates, and special friend, Glenn “Gabby” Balentine.
Pallbearers will be Dale Hughes, Steve Stutts, Josh Walker, James Abernathy, Colt Abernathy, and Teal Abernathy.
