James W. “Will” Watkins – Obituary

Mr. James W. “Will” Watkins, 94, of Florence, died Saturday Oct. 12. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. today at Greenview Funeral Home followed by graveside services and burial at 2:30 p.m. in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Watkins was a 50 year member of Labor Local No. 366 and a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Claudie Clayton Glover Watkins; daughter, Mary Ellen Clemmons; grandson, Nicholas Clay Watkins; brothers, William (Bud), Bennie, Robert (Junior) and Buford; sisters, Lucille (Bo) Cummings and Marie Watkins. He is survived by his sons, James Richard (Ricky) Watkins (Audrey) and Mark Glen Watkins (Rose); daughter, Angie Lynn Borden (Terry); brother, Thomas Watkins; sister, Margaret Bradford; grandchildren, Tracy Watkins, April Stults (Bennie), Chelsea Watkins, Joshua Watkins (Lexus) and Craig Borden (Lyndsey); great-and grandchildren, Ty, Jaydee, Hadlee, Aiden, Weston and Carsen.

Pallbearers will be Josh Watkins, Craig Borden, Tracy Watkins, Anthony Watkins, Ty Guthrie and Johnny Riley.
