James W. Gilchrist was born June 21, 1953 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late John Robert and Lois Lain Gilchrist. Mr. Gilchrist worked as a pipe fitter in commercial construction. He was a member of the River of Life Pentecostal Church in Crump, Tennessee. He enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, playing domino’s, wood working and watching sports especially the Memphis Grizzlies. Mr. Gilchrist departed this life on December 28, 2013 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 60 Years, 6 Months, 7 Days. He is survived by two brothers, Bobby Gilchrist of Adamsville, TN, Ed Gilchrist of Adamsville, TN; a sister, Carolyn Tidwell of Adamsville, TN; special nieces, Leslie Gray of Ramer, TN, Carrie and Abby Tidwell both of Medina, TN. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gilchrist was preceded in death by nephew, Keith Tidwell.
