James Verrell

James Verrell, 76, died Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.  He was born May 25, 1945, in Union County, Mississippi, the son of James K. and Marie Howard Verrell.  Mr. Verrell was a veteran of the U. S. Army, a Baptist, and was a retired roofer.

Survivors include three brothers, John Verrell (Jackie), Mike Verrell (Cheryl), and Randy Verrell (Sandra) all of New Albany; sister, Carolyn Dye of Myrtle; and one grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Tommy Verrell; and two brothers, Tommy and Larry Verrell.

Services are on Friday, January 21, 2022, at 2:00 P. M. at Glenfield Funeral Home with his nephew, Sandy Dye, officiating.  Burial will follow in Glenfield Memorial Park.  Visitation is on Friday from 1:00 P. M. until 2:00 P. M.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sanctuary Hospice House, 5159 W Main St, Tupelo, MS 38801.
