James-Sanders-1443272068James Travis Sanders departed this life on Friday, September 25, 2015, at the age of 80 years, 6 months, 11 days. He was born in McNairy County, Tennessee on March 14, 1935, the son of the late John R. and Velma Gurley Sanders. On September 15, 1954, he was united in marriage to Betty Broughton, who survives.

Mr. Sanders was the owner of Sanders Office Supply in Savannah. He had also drove a grain truck for Karl Foresbach and Hardin Farmers Co-op. He loved life and the outdoors. He enjoyed horses, beagle dogs, and loved his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He was a member of the Adamsville Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Sanders of Savannah, Tennessee; children, Wendell Sanders and wife, Lavonne of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Danna Plunk and husband, Rickey of Adamsville, Tennessee, Tim Sanders and wife, Julie of Ashville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Leigh Ann Hughes and husband, Jonathan, Justin Moffett, Savannah Sanders, Summer Sanders; great grandchildren, Avery Hughes and Owen Hughes; sisters, Linda Adams of Guys, Tennessee and Dora Berry of Corinth, Mississippi; brothers, Wayne Sanders of Bartlett, Tennessee and Bill Sanders of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Edna Owens; brothers, Bobby Sanders, Horace Sanders, and Joe Sanders.
