The graveside funeral service for James Thomas “Taz” Anderson, age 64 of Ashland, will be held on Saturday June 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Clay County Memory Gardens with Evangelist David Davis, Pastor Dee Smith and Pastor Larry Mitchell officiating.
Mr. Anderson passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2018. He was a life-long resident of Ashland and an avid Alabama “Roll Tide” Fan.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife of 44 years, Liz Anderson; two daughters: Tiffany Wolfe (Chad) and Brittany Hurst (John) of two grandchildren: Madelyn Reese Wolfe and Ezekiel Thomas Hurst, all of Ashland and three sisters: Evelyn Forman, Joyce Presley and Barbara Coverdell.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Bentley Anderson and Eunice Hindmon Roberson; his son, Tobias James Anderson; one sister, Mary Anderson and four brothers: Robert, Roy, Billy Wayne and Hubert Anderson.
Pallbearers will be Chad Wolfe, John Hurst, Mark Jenkins, Robert “Buck” Anderson, Jerry Smith and Dwayne Martin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin Whitley and Wendell Wolfe.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 1, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland.
