James Talmadge Grigsby, 85, of Decatur, passed away on August 7, 2014, at his son’s residence. Funeral services will be Sunday, August 10, 2014, at noon at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Grigsby, his grandson, officiating. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 and on Sunday from 10 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Grigsby was born February 18, 1929, in Blount County to James and Augusta Grigsby. He was a veteran of World War II and Korea. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Survivors include his children, James D. Grigsby (Brenda), James R. Grigsby (Janice), Anna Maria Victoria Grigsby (Jeff) and David Nathaniel Grigsby; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
