James T. (Buddy) Brown was born February 1, 1925 in Selmer, Tennessee the son of the late Evan Brown, Sr and Edith Dickey Brown.
He was united in marriage to Marie Moore on December 23, 1948. Mrs. Brown preceded him in death on May 1, 2012, following 67 years of marriage.
Mr. Brown worked as an electrician for Pickwick Electric Cooperative, Brown Shoe Company, and was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Selmer, TN. His favorite past-time was growing and selling home grown tomatoes to his friends and neighbors.
Mr. Brown departed this life on March 14, 2016 in Stantonville, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years, 1 Month, 13 Days. He is survived by a daughter, Pat Rickman and husband Nelson of Selmer, TN; son, Billy Brown and wife Pam of Stantonville, TN; four grandchildren, Chad Rickman and wife Laura, Monica Matlock and husband Jay, Beth Baker and husband Bradley, Kerry Brown and wife Beth; eleven great grandchildren, Sidney, Braden, Trey, and Case Rickman, Ty, Hannah and Sam Matlock, Kailey and Lainey Baker, Makayla and Kason Brown; two brothers, Evan Brown, Jr. of Stantonville, TN and Bobby Brown and wife Laurie of Stantonville, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by sister, Mary Phillips, brother, Olan Kendrick Brown.
