Funeral Services for Mr. James Stanley Mitchell, age 63, will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with Bro. Travis Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Poplar Springs Cemetery.
Stanley lived most of his life in Clay County, graduating high school at Lineville High School in 1979. He worked many years for Wellborn Cabinet in maintenance and doing yard work.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by his son, Dakota Mitchell; 2 sisters, Ellen Morgan of Oxford and Helen Norred (Brad) of Sylacauga; and a large extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Aughey Eldred Mitchell and Kathrine Milstead Mitchell; 3 sisters, Kathleen Crawford, Faye Wilkerson, and Martha Mitchell; and 2 brothers, Eldred Mitchell and Bubby Mitchell.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland from 12:00 P.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M.
