James Sheldon passed away on August 4, 2020 at age 87. The Funeral Mass is 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church (300 S. Tarver, Lebanon TN), preceded by visitation from 11 a.m. until the Mass. Burial with military honors will follow in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Pegram TN. Mr. Sheldon was born in Schenectady NY to Dominic Marino and Sarah Mahar. He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was a Roman Catholic, a member of the Knights of Columbus, the VFW, and the DAV. He is survived by wife Michele Sheldon, daughter Sherrie Turner, grandson Matthew, step-children Shannon (Sebastien) Popieul and Jason (Caroline) Turner, and step-grandchildren Evan, Alex, Riley, Chris, Zachry, and Yannick.
