James Scott Christian, Jr., age 76, of Chattanooga, TN passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at The Waters of Winchester. He was born in Chattanooga on October 14, 1946 to the late James Scott Christian, Sr. and Louise Barnes Christian. He was a graduate of UTC with a BS in Art and English. Before his retirement, James was a manager in the food industry. His personal interests included art, photography, cooking, writing poetry, and genealogy. He spent much of his time researching and recording his family’s history. He designed the Hamilton County Flag when in high school. He was also very involved with the Plum Nelly Art Festival. James is survived by his loving sisters, Gloria Haney, Glenda Clark, and Carol Witt, all of Chattanooga, TN; nieces, Carrie May of Soddy Daisy, TN and Susan Dameron (Don) of Ooltewah, TN; nephews, Charles Witt (Marquetta) of Chattanooga, TN and Neil Witt (Lisa) of Jasper, TN; great-nephews, Jason Lusk of Chattanooga, TN, Drew Dameron (Laurel) of Columbia, TN, Derek Dameron (Bethany) of Cleveland, TN; several great-great nieces and nephews. No formal services are planned at this time.
