james-marecle-1477665018James Roy Marecle, 73, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully Thursday, October 27, 2016, at his home in Rienzi. He was born at home in Hinkle, MS, on August 11, 1943 and was the last of 5 children, the “baby” of the family, to Word Yancey Marecle and Wesley Elec Marecle. He graduated from Kossuth High School and worked as a supervisor at ITT/CMC in Corinth, MS, for 30 plus years where he met the love of his life, Sarah, whom he married on June 29, 1968. Nine years later God granted their prayers for a baby, a 2 month old baby girl.
James Roy enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, coon hunting, 4-wheeler riding, but most importantly spending time with his family and being the best “Pops” around to his grandchildren. He was known by many and loved by all who knew him. He was a member of Rienzi Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Womble Marecle of Rienzi; daughter Jamie Windham (Greg) of Booneville, MS; and two grandchildren, Meghan and Carter Windham as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother and sister-in-law, Ray Marecle(Grace); 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene Bynum (Joe) and Ruby Mask(Leroy); and a sister who died as a child, Inez Marecle ; mother-in-law, Blanche Womble; brother-in-law, Bedford Womble; and sister-in-law Becky Womble.
Magnolia Funeral Home in Corinth, MS, is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, October 29, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Rienzi Baptist Church with Bro. Charlie Cooper and Bro. Titus Tyre officiating. Burial will be in the Hinkle Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donnie Lovell, Don Lovell, Doug Johnson, Gerald Yancey, Fred McCord, William Perry, Mike Palmer and Billy Arlen Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Darrell Marecle, Don Marecle and Larry Mask.
